Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre
Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) was established in 2019 as per the law of establishment No. (14) for the year 2019 that was issued by his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The entity was established to ensure a public health system that maintains the health of the population in the Emirate and guarantee workers’ safety through the promotion of public health and preventive health concepts.
The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre is the first of its kind in the region and sits within the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) which is the regulative body of the Healthcare Sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. DoH defines the strategy for the health system, monitors and analyses the health status of the population and performance of the system.
In addition, DoH shapes the regulatory framework for the health system, inspects against regulations, enforce standards, and encourages adoption of world – class best practices and performance targets by all healthcare service providers in the Emirate.
